Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA)

The Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA) is a not-for-profit association founded in 1975. The goal of the ACA is to promote the preservation and appreciation of Canada’s archival heritage and to provide archival profession leadership. The Dalhousie Chapter of ACA hopes to fulfill these goals by supporting students who are interested in archives, or are aspiring archivists.

The Dalhousie Chapter of ACA is a small student group within the umbrella of the School of Information Management Student Association. Our primary focus is to promote archives and archival interests to students, and provide opportunities for professional development in the field of archives. Our plans for the upcoming year include tours of interesting Halifax archives and co-facilitating a used book sale with the Librarians without Borders (LWB) student chapter.
