Co-Chair

The Co-Chairs oversee general operations of ISSA and its related activities and ensure that the responsibilities of the ISSA Executive are fulfilled. The Co-Chairs attend and facilitate various meetings and serve as representative to a variety of external organizations.

Academic Chair

The Academic Chair is the professional and academic voice of the student association.

Non-Academic Chair

The Non-Academic Chair coordinates social events as the school’s social activities liaison. The Non-Academic Chair chairs the Orientation Committee, and encourages social networking between students of the Department of Information Science, between faculty and students of DIS, as well as with other schools within the Faculty of Management.

Communications Chair

The primary role of the Communications Chair is to complete ISSA’s required administrative duties. These duties involve the preparation of documents for meetings, managing the association’s email account, tracking print credits and facilitating the association’s ratification in the fall semester.

Financial Chair

The role of the Financial Chair is to be responsible for the ISSA finances, including the annual budget and bi-annual audits. The ISSA Financial Chair is also the chair of the Fundraising Committee.

Digital Publications Chair

The role of the Digital Publications Chairs is to maintain the ISSA website, assist other DIS student societies with their websites, and generally take the lead on communication/technical matters of relevance to ISSA.
