IBM Career Info Session – September 24

IBM will be on campus Wednesday, September 24 for a career information session with students in the Faculty of Management. Please RSVP via MyCareer (located in your MyDal portal) as seats are limited.

IBM is one of the biggest technology firms internationally, with 12 research laboratories worldwide and, as of 2013, has held the record for the most patents generated by a company for 20 consecutive years.

If you are interested in technology, research, and corporate librarianship, it would be worthwhile to attend and ask about opportunities for Information Managers at IBM.

Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) Career Info Session – September 29

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) will be on campus on September 29 to speak exclusively with MLIS students about career opportunities in state intelligence and security. The information session will take place at 12:00 noon in Rowe 3089.

Internships are available for MLIS students.

CSIS is Canada’s primary national intelligence service. It is responsible for collecting, analyzing, reporting and disseminating intelligence on threats to Canada’s national security, and conducting operations, covert and over, within Canada and abroad. The Atlantic Region Headquarters is located in Halifax.
